Note to accounts

1   Stock remaining after Otterburn XXII was valued at £100 and attributable to a fine box of Romeo y Julietta coronas.  This stock has been very regrettably lost in a  "spate of controlled small fires"  in the days immediately after Otterburn XXII and has therefore been written off.

2   The loss detailed above does not reflect a loss to The Society as a whole, nor to the individual members - whom, it must be said, have made a net gain - of £11.25 each - it merely demonstrates the difficulties faced by The Treasurer in calculating subscriptions on a napkin, having risen too early!  Members will note, that the deficit has also been written off.

 K Beattie,  Treasurer 4 November 2004
